Over 30 thousand houses will be transferred to residents
The minister of Urban Development and Construction said over 30 thousand condominiums will be transferred to residents in the coming six months. The Minister of Urban Development and Construction, Jantran Abay, made a presentation on the 6-month plan of the Minster.
According to the Minister, the works, that help to complete the construction of housing development projects which were started in the last six months, was undertaken. The Minister said that the plan was to give 44,000 houses until the end of the coming budget year, but more than 30,000 houses will be transferred to residents by the end of the budget year.
Of these, 17 thousand are 40/60 housing development projects and the remaining are 20/80, the minister Mr. Jantrar said. He also added that the houses, which are going to be transferred to residents this year, are likely to be completed, and the supply of finishing products like an elevator and internal infrastructure is underway.
The minister said: There was a rule for the housing project stating for those who paid the full payment would be given first, but due to the fact that the increase in the cost which was happened in the past, we can say that the number of the subscriber who had paid the full price is none. So, the residents who can save 40% for the housing program can be included in the lottery program. In addition, 1,700 rental buildings are being constructed at 4-Kilo Basha Wolde and Lebu Places.
Moreover, The minister has presented the reports which was done during the past six months. The minister said that the Ministry Office has reorganized the office, and also has given the training in leadership, job creation and other sectors.
