East Africa’s E-commerce Center is to be built in Ethiopia.
The East Africa E-commerce Center was planned to be built in Nairobi, Kenya, but now the decision is changed and the center is to be built in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Because Ethiopia is showing a better effort and the government is giving high priority for Innovation and Technology.
4 E-Commerce Centers will be built in Africa and the East Africa’s center will be built in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The fact that the Ethiopian Airlines is flying to different countries, the country’s growth rate in technology, and the focus that the government has given to the sector, has made Ethiopia as a better place for this center, which is going to be built soon in the capital city.
The Ministry of Innovation and Technology, Getahun Mekuria (Dr. Engineer), discussed with the International Postal Union Director General Ambassador Bishar Hussein about the construction of the center in Ethiopia.
The Minister confirmed to fulfill the needs of the site’s basic development and even by choosing the best place.
It is believed that the construction of the center in Ethiopia will create about 100 thousand jobs and enable a high flow of money in Ethiopia.
According to the Innovation and Technology Minister, the center helps all countries to let them see African products and interact with them.
